CHRISTCHURCH. Saturday, May 6. (Before G. L. Lee, Esq, R.M.) Drunk and Disorderly.—An inebriate, for a first offence, Avas fined os. Drink and Lunacy. James Cunningham, who Avas in a state of lunacy, said to be brought on through drink, Avas remanded to Lyttelton for eight days, for medical examination. Breaking Windows. A Cunningham, for being drunk and disorderly, and for breaking a window in the shop of Mr BoAvler, Colombo street, was fined 5s for the first offence, and ordered to pay an additional 14s, the amonntjof damage done. A Similar Case. —John O’Hcron, for being drunk and disorderly, and for smashing the windows of a cab, was ordered to pay 5s for the first-named offence, and 20s for the other.

Drunk on the Hailavay Station.—A woman charged with this offence was remanded.

Child Desertion.— David White, who had been apprehended at Greymouth, was charged Avith neglecting to support his child. He was remanded until Tuesday.
