POST-OFFICE NOTICES.
Mails close at Chief Post Office for the following places, as under, subject to necessary alterations:— Thursday, May 4. For Dunedin, per overland, at 6 a.m. Friday, May 5. Mails per Colima will close at under ; For the Continent of Europe, Fiji, and Sandwich Islands, British America, and the United States, 9.15 a.m. For the United Kingdom, via San Francisco, at 9.30 a.m. ; late letters, at 10 a.m. For Northern Provinces of New Zealand, at 9.30 a.m. ; late letters, 10 a.m. Posting registered correspondence, and obtaining money orders, Thursday, 5 p.m. Newspapers and book packets, for all ports, Friday, 9 a. m. Late letters for mails per Colima can be posted in the guard’s van, railway station, up to 10.30 a.m. The English mail, via Suez, will close at Christchurch, Saturday, 6th instant. J. J.
