The • s.B Eingarootna sailed for Melbourne, via South, last evening. The Taranaki s.s, also sailed for Northern Ports last evening. , , The Hawea sailed South at 1.30 p.m yesterday. The b.b Beautiful Star, Captain Petersen, left Port Chalmers at 4.30 p.m on April 16th, arrived at Timaru at 10 a m next day -, discharged cargo, and left again at 4.30 p.m same day; experienced strong head winds and heavy seas along the coast to arrival at 6.30 p.m yesterday. She sails for Dunedm this afternoon, jftThe barque Espcculador was loading 360 tons coal at Newcastle for this port, on the sth. On the arrival of the s.s Albion yesterday, whilst trying to get alongside the Gladstone Pier, her heel grounded, and alter weigh ,was got on to her, she came in contact with the s.s Kingarooma, then lying at the wharf, and also doing some slight damage to the head gear of the ship Kangitikei. The damage to the Kingarooma is only of nvnor importance, being confined to the poop rail and netting, and on the starboard side from the companion aft. The Union Co’s s.s Hawea, Captain Wheeler, arrived in harbor this morning at 7 a.m. She left Onehunga at noon on the 13th, and came to anchor inside the heads at 1.15 p.m; cleared the bar at noon on the 14th; proceeded under easy steam, and arrived at New Plymouth at 6.30 a.m ou the 15th; left at 8 a.m, and arrived oil' Nelson at 10 p.m, and at the wharf at ll p.m same night; left at 11.45 a.m on the 16th, and arrived at Picion at 7.30 p.m ; leit at 4 a.m on the 17th, and arrived at Wellington at 9 a.m ; left at 1.30 p m same day, arriving as above. Experienced light southerly winds to Wellington, from thence fresh N.W breeze. The s.s. Albion, Captain J. W. Clark, from Melbourne, reports having left at 11a.m. on the llth instant, clea r ed Port Philip Heads at 2.30, passed theSolanders at 11.40 a.m. on the 15th, arriving at the Bluff at 7 a.m on the 16th; left at 4 p.m. for Port Chalmers, and arrived there at 7 a.m. on the 17th ; left at 4 p.m. same day for Lyttelton, arriving in harbor at 2 p.m. yesterday; experienced strong northerly winds and heavy head sea during the passage. She brings the English Suez mail, per s.s. China, and about 40 tons cargo for Northern ports. We have to thank the purser for files and report.
