POST-OFFICE NOTICES.
Tuts Day. Local mails, usually despatched on Friday morning, will close at Christchuvch on Thursday, 13th, at 8.30 p.m. For Wesi land, at S. 30 p.m. There will be no late mail Friday morning. The delivery window at the Christchurch office will be open for delivery of local mails from 8.30 to 9.30 p.m. Residents in the city can obtain their correspondence on application, as there will be no delivery by letter carriers on Good Friday. Friday, April 14. A post-office holiday. The post-office, Christchurch, will be closed. Local and other mails will be sorted into the private boxes at 9 p.m. Monday, April 17. For Port Chalmers and Dunedin, per Hawea, at 11.35 a.m. ; late, 11.55 a.m. ; railway station,. 12.25 p.m. train. For Australian colonies and Southern ports, per Kingarooma, at 4.45 p.m. J. J. FITZGIBBON, Chief Postmaster.
