The schooner Kate left again for Charleston yesterday. The s.s. Wellington took in 10 tons of cargo, and sailed North at 4.15 p.m. last night. The brig Fawn was berthed at No 3 Wharf yesterday. The barque Nonpariel, for Ncwcaaile, and brigantine Esther, for Napier, sailed yesterday morning. The steamers Tui and St. Kilda sailed for Kaikoura and Raglan respectively shortly after 6 last night.
ARRIVAL OF THE INVERDRUIE. ' This fine little barque was signalled at an early hour yesterday. She is a smart vessel, and has accomplished the trip in 96 days from the Downs, and 95 from Portland. The barque is nine years ole', and is the property of Messrs J. and R. Grant, of Loudon, and ha- been in the Indian trade till lately. Brings a full cargo, consigned to the New Zealand Slopping Company. Captain Wootton, her commander, reports leaving London December 29th, Gravesend on January 2nd, and having light B. wind down channel; landed pilot and took departure from Portland January Gth ; easterly winds held across the Bay; sighted San Antonio January 15th; wind still held N.E., and the Line was crossed January 23rd, in 25 W., 18 days out. Got S.E. trades next day in lat 1 37 S. ; lost them in 32 S., February 7th. Meridian of Cape was passed February 19'h, in 43 S. ; Easting was run down in the 45th parallel, easterly winds being predominant; was off the Lewin March 23rd. weather being westerly and moderate. The westerly wind held only 21 hours, when it went round to the N. The Snares were made on Wednesday, April sth, with strong N.E. breeze and tine weather. Otago light was sighted Saturday, April Bth, Banks’ Peninsula was made on Monday morning, alter being hove too all night, the weather being dirty, and arrived in heads at 3 p m. yesterday.
