The Arawata towed the Colima into Port Chafers against a strong southerly gale, arriving there safely at 9 a.m. to-day. YESTERDAY'S. April 9-0 a.m., wind N.W., light. Barometer, 29 55 : thermometer, 65. Weather overcast, aim drizzling rain. Hiirh water—this clay, morning, 4 44; night, 5.07. The brig Albion cleared at Port Chalmers on the 6th, with cargo for this port and Auckland. The line barque Famingham took her departure on Saturday for Adelaide. The brig tfoung Dick for Hobart Town sailed yesterday. The St Kilda will take in 1300 sheep to-day, and Bail for Raglan. , „ The Beautiful Star brought 1260 sacks grain trom Timaru for the Himalaya yesterday, which will complete her loading. The brig Sea Spray, Captain Grant, left Newcastle March 20th, and had light and variable weather to making Cape, Egmont on Saturday, Ist; had head winds through the Strait", and thence to arrival light N.E. au'd N.W. winds; sighted the Heads at 5 p.m. Friday, and arrived in harbour and anchored at 9 p.tn, The tavoritc s.s. Wellington, Captain Carey, left Dunedin at 330 pm. on Saturday; arrived at I'ort Chalmers at 4.15 ; left at 5, and arrived here yesterday, at 11 am,; light variable *indsthroughout the passage. Sails Norili at 3 p.m. to-day. The Flying Cloud, schooner, Captain Andrews, leftPicton on the 2nd instant; experienced U.K. Winds to Cape Campbell; then ran back and put into Port Underwood for two days; then light northetly winds to arrival on Saturday, Captain E. Wood's regularjtrading brig Fawn, Captain Brownell, arrived in harbour at 6 a.m. yesterday. Reports leaving Newcastle on March 24'h with a fresh northerly breeze, which held till the 31st. when a south-easter sprang up. The land was made on April 3rd to the southward of Cape Farewell; thpnee had easterly weather, alternating with oalms and heavv rain up to Friday, 7th April, when Stevens' Island was made; from thence moderate northerly winds to arrival as above.
