“MUSIC HAS CHARMS.”
The receipts at the Titieus Concert at Boston on the Bth of November, amount'd to over GOOOdols, being the largest on record. In addition to Mdllc Titlens’s fixed salary of £2OO per concert, payable in gold, she receives (he half of what is taken over SOOOdols per concert. For three songs |at Boston the great prima donna received £SOO sterling, being the highest sum ever taken by any artist. Mdlle Titieus was waited on at the end of the old concert by all the chief people at Revere House, and presented with a testimonial in the form of a classic vase of solid silver, and bearing the inscription—“ To Thcrese Titiens, by her Boston admirers, as a mark of deep respect, this Bth day of November, 1875.” Mdlle Titiens, in reply, said that she had “ no words to express her gratitude adequately, and that she would never be able to evince her feelings towards the people of Boston for the honors which had been offered her in their city,”
