Mails close at Chief Post Office for the following places, as under, subject to necessary alterations:— Moday, March 20, For Northern ports of New Zealand, per Wellington, at 1.50 p.m.; late letters, 2.10 p.m. ; railway station, 2.30 p.m. train For Timaru and*Otago, per Maori, at 1.30 a.m. ; late letters, 2.10 p.m, ; railway station, 2.30 p.m. train. Wednesday, March 22. For Northern Ports of New Zealand. For Chatham Islands, via Auckland, on March 22nd. For Otago. A Post Office has been opened at West Eyretou. Mails close daily at 7 .a.m. J. J. FITZGIBBON, Chief Postmaster.
