The Bio Loge commenced discharging at the Tunnel Wharf yesterday afternoon. The Circe finished her discharging on Saturday, and the Sarah and Mary yesterday. The ketch Emerald sailed from Havelock for this port yesterday. The brigantine Cleopatra arrived from the Chattinms yesterday alternoon. The Emperor, brig, came into Peacock’s wharf yesterday to discharge her coals, after which she will load grain. The s.s Ladybird sailed for North at 2 pm, and the St Kilda, with 1200 sheep lor Raglan, at 3.15 p.m. The fine little ship Hudson is expected to leave Napier to-day for Lyttelton. We are informed that the schooner Onward has got the contract to convey her cargo of railway iron to Oamaru. The schooner Omaha, for Auckland and Napier, and schooner Flirt, for Auckland, sailed yesterday morning. The fine ketch Agnes, Captain Bissett, arrived in harbor at midnight on Sunday from Picton. She left that port on Thursday last, experienced light variable winds, arriving as above. The Elizabeth Curie reports leaving Picton on Thursday, and having fresh N.W. winds to Kaikoras, which were passed on Saturday; calms ensued, lasting, with occasional light airs, till Sunday night at 6 p.m., when a north-easter sprang up; got inside Heads at 7 a.m. yesterday morning, and ran up harbor, being berthed at the No 3 wharf to discharge. „ • The Ladybird brought 40 tons of cargo for this port, and took on board 35 tons for the North. When she left Dunedin there were no less than 240 tons cargo in her hold, a sure proof of what an advantage It is to be able to take in at the Dunedin wharf Instead of at Port Chalmers. Her commander, Captain Andrew, will leave her at Wellington and take charge of the Phoebe, s.s, which latter vessel has been getting a thorough overhaul. The Ladybird will go on the slip at Wellington, alter transhipping Northern cargo into the Phoebe. Her hull and machinery will be looked to, and, where necessary, be renovated. After coming oft’ the slip the Ladybird will go to Auckland for one trip, after which she will run from Dunedin up the eastcoast to Napier and Gisborne, calling at this oi land Wellington. The s.s, Arawata, Captain Underwood, arrived in harbor yesterday at 7 a.m, from Nelson and Wellington. She left the former port at 9 a.m. on the 10th, arrived at Wellington 4.30 a.m. on the 11th; left at 12,30 .p.m. on the 12th. Experienced light northerly winds and thick weather throughout the passage, arriving as above. Took on board 1600 Backs grain at the Gladstone Pier, and sailed South at 4.20 p.m. with the outward Suez mail. The brig Byron, Captain Llewellyn, left Newcastle on February 25th, and had northerly and south-easterly winds, very fresh at times, during the passage across, making Cape Egmout on the sth March. Had light northerly winds through the Straits and down the coast, with occasional calms ; arrived in harbor at noon yesterday. She brings a cargo of coals for Messrs W. Montgomery and Co, and will be berthed at the Tunnel Wharl to-day to discharge.
