POST-OFFICE NOTICES.
Mails close at Chief Post Office for the following places, as under, subject to necessary alterations: — Friday, March 3 For Akaroa, Timaru, and Dunedin, per Beautiful Star, at 11.35 a.m. ; late letters, 11.55 am. j railway station, 12,25 pm, train. For London direct, per Orari, at 3.30 p.m. Specially addressed letters only. Saturday, March 4. For Southern Ports of New Zealand. For Dunedin, Bluff, and Australian Colonies. The next English mail, via San Francisco, will close at Christchurch on March 9th. The Post Office at Washdyke has been re-opened under the charge of Wm. P. McNeill; J. J. FITZGIBBON, Chief Postmaster.
