The Crusader was shifted to the inner berth at the Inner tier yesterday morning, the Otaki having been shifted into the stream. The Rangitikei was towed into the inside berth at the second tier last night The Orari will take the outside berth at the second tier this morning to complete her loading. She will be a full ship by Wednesday night. Hie Himalaya comes in to-day to take the outside berth at the inner tier. There are 4000 sacks of grain ready for her. The s.s. Otago left Sydney at 2.30 pm. on the 17th, cleared the Heads at 3, experienced southwest winds with heavy sea, and arrived off Hokitika at 2 p m. on the 22nd ; left at 10 a.m. on 23rd, and arrived at Greymouth at 12,30 p.m; left at 10.30 p m. same day, and arrived at Nelson at 10 p.m. on 24th • left at 9 p.m. on 25th, and arrived in Wellington at 11 a.m. on 20th; left at 10.30 a.m. on the 27th, experienced light northerly winds arriving in harbor at 6 a.m. yesterday. She sailed for Melbourne via South at 6.20 p.m. yesterday. _ The Chatham Island trader Agnes arrived here yesterday. This line topsail schooner lias made a good round trip, having been about six weeks absent. There is no news of any great importance from tiie Chathams. The Agnes, after leaving Lyttelton on January lifh, had a tine weather passage across to the Islands, anchoring off Mr Kerr’s station, at Waitangi West, on the 15th; Tapunga, Wharekauri, Ngaio, Waitangi, Wangaroa, iaupika, Maiaraukau, Wakaru, Owanga, Manakau. and Pitt’s, and South East Island were visited in succession, and goods discharged and cargo taken on board. The Cleopatra arrived at t lie Chathams on Wednesday week, and two whalprs, an American barque, and the Isabella brigantine were cruising about the Islands; the latter had had no luck not having captured a single fish, they made fast to one, but their boat was smashed, and lie got away, but was captured by the American soon afterwards. The A°nes left Wangaroa on Wednesday last, and lost sight of the land on Thursday; had moderate wind fromN.E to S.E. coming across ; sighted the Long Look Out ou Sunday morning, and thence had light airs and calms to arrival here, at noon yesterday; ran right into Dampier’s Bay to discharge horses, of which she brings eleven. Her cargo, as will be seen from our import list, is a large one.
