POST-OFFICE NOTICES.
Mails close at Chief Post Office for the following places, as under, subject to necessary alterations:— Friday, December 31.
For Port Chalmers and Dunedin, pers.s. Phcebe, at 11.35 a.m. ; late letters, 11 55 a.m. ; guard’s van railway station, 12.25 p.m. train. For the Chatham Islands, per Cleopatra. Timaru and Port Chalmers, per Beautiful Star, 7 p.m. Important—Saturday, the Ist day of January, 1876, being a Post Office holiday, all mails for dispatch on that day will close at 7 p.m. on Friday, the 31st December. Attention is directed to various changes in the despatch of local mails. J. J. FITZGIBBON, Chief Postmaster.
