MRS ALABASTER'S SCHOOL.
The yearly examination of Mrs Alabaster's school took place yesterday, the examiners being the Rev F. Knowles, De Berdt Hovell, Messrs B. Church and McCardcll. The prizes were distributed by the Very Rev the Dean as follows: First Class—lst prize, W. Robinson ; 2nd, H. Haast Second Class—lst prize, E. Preece; 2nd, J. McLean Third Class—lst prize, A McCrae ; 2nd, G. Ross Fourth Class—lst prize, Leo Haast ; 2nd, L. Sawtell Writing prize—H. Hinge Maps—E. Preece Arithmetic—W. Robison Drawing—W. Robison Conduct—R. Aldred Special prize presented by RevF. Kuowlea —J. Turnbull Special prize—C. Innes Drilling—F. Bishop.
