Tuesday, December 14. For Newcastle, N.S.W., per Australian Sovereign. For Sydney, per Melrose. Letters for the above mails most be posted at the Chief Post Office, Ohristchurch, by 11.45 a.m., and be specially addressed with the ships' name they are to be transmitted by. Wednesday, December 15. For the United Kingdom and Foreign Countries, via San Francisco, per Cyphenes. Hour of closing in a future notice. For Port Chalmers and Dunedin, per s. s. Wellington, at 5 p.m. Thursday, the 16th instant, being a Postal Holiday, all local mails usually despatched on that day will close at Ohristchurch on Wednesday evening, at 8 p.m. All Branches of the Post Office will be closed on the Anniversary Day.
