Dec 7 —Ladybird, s s, 286 tons, Andrew from Dunedin. Passengers —Mrs and Miss Davis, Mrs Moodie and child, Messrs Murdoch, Esther, Goldsmith, Torrense, G. P. Price, and 9 for North. Dec 6—Hopeful, barque, 332 tons, Luly, from Newcastle. Cargo, coals. Dec 6—Nonpareil, barque, 339 tons, Brint, from Newcastle. Cargo, coals. Dec 6—Sarah and Mary, brigantine, 154 tons, Quance, from Greymouth. Cargo, coals Dec 6—Sarah Pile, brigantine, Travers, from Bluff, Cargo, timber. Dec 7—Crest of the Wave, 67 tons, McLean, from Picton. Cargo, timber. D ec 7—Southern Cross, barque, Boon, from Hobart Town. Cargo, timber, &c. CLEARED. Dec 7—Ladybird, s.s, 286 tons, Andrew, for Northern ports. Dec 7—Taranaki, s.s, 299 tons, Lloyd, for Southern ports. The N.Z.S.S. Company’s s.s. Taranaki arrived in port at 11.45 to-day from Northern ports. She sails for South this evening. The s.s. Ladybird, from South, arrived in harbour at noon to-day. She sails for Northern ports this evening. The fine barque Southern Cross, Captain Boon, arrived this morning at noon from Hobart Town. She brings a cargo of timber, &c.
THE WAITANGI,
This ship was sighted off East Head by the s.s. Ladybird this morning. She comes to the N.Z.S. Company, and brings immigrants. She probably arrives early this evening.
