Telegraph Department.— A return is fublished in the Gazette of the busims done by the telegraph department for the quarter ending September 25th:—Numb'r of telegrams forwarded, 230,834, being an increase of 21,585 on the corresponding quarter of 1874. The revenue received amounted to £14,697 9s, being an increase of £1664 10s sd. The value of Government telegrams was £3394 13s Bd, being an increase of £357 6s 4d on the corresponding quarter of 1874,
