POST-OFFICE NOTICES.
Mails close at Chief Post Office for the following places, as under, subject to necessary alterations:— Wednesday, November 17. For Dunedin, per Hawea, at 11.35 a.m. ; late letters, 11.55 a.m. ; railway, 12.25 noon train. For Timaru and Dunedin, per Maori, at 11. 35 a.m. ; late letters, 11.55 a.m. ; railway, 12.25 noon train. Mails per Wellington will close as under: — For the United Kingdom, via San Francisco, at 11 a.m. ; late letters, 11.20 a.m. For the Continent of Europe, Sandwich Islands, North and South America, &c., at 10.30 a.m. Northern ports of New Zealand, at 11.20 a.m. ; late letters, 11.40 a.m. Money orders, registered letters, and newspapers, for transmission by the above mails, 10 a. m. Note.—Late letters for the above mails, per Wellington, can be posted in the guard’s van, at the Railway station, up to 12.25 p. m. J. J. FITZGIBBON, Chief Postmaster.
