The Taranaki arrived at Onchunga eaily yester--0 barque Czarevitch, coal-laden, and the barque Suffolk, with gasworks material, have arrived at Timaru; the former on the 9th from Newcastle, and the latter on the 18th from Melbourne. The brigantine Lizzie Guy, after a protracted passage of twenty-one days, arrived in the roadstead at Greymoutli, on the 4th, trora tins port. The brigantine Strathnaver, Captain Jorgenson, cleared the Customs yesterday for Hokitika, with a cargo of produce. The brig Mayflower cleared the Customs yesterday tor Newcastle, New South Wales, in ballast. The barque John Knox, Captain Davis, cleared the Customs yesterday for Sydney, in ballast. The s.s. Wanganui, Captain Christian, arrived in harbor yesterday at noon. The purser reports that the steamer left the Kailway pier. Fort Chalmers, at 3.45 p.m. on the 10th, arrived at Tiraam at 4 a.m. on the 11th, discharged eighty tons cargo, and left at 4.50 p.m; experienced strong N.L. winds arrived at Akaroa at 5 a.m. on the 13th, Kit at 6.30 a.m, arriving as above.

The line barque Island City, Captain Brown, arrived inside the Heads on Tuesday, at midnight. The captain reports that he left Newcastle on Saturday 29th October, with a S.E. wind ; next day it went round to the N.E, thence westerly winds to Cape Farewell, which was sighted on Saturday last, at 1.30 a m; passed Kaikouva Peninsula on Sunday, at noon; thence calms and light airs till Monday, when twelve miles ofl the heads experienced heavy southerly gale, arriving as above.
