THIS DAY’S TELEGRAMS.

Wellington, October 27. It is understood that the result of the Court of Enquiry on the conduct of Colonel Me Donnel re Brisseuden’s letters, will he nothing more than the expression of a regret he should have been so ill-advised as to retain possession for some three days of a letter not intended for him, and that the Court entirely exonerates him from all blame or responsibility for the manner in which the letter came into his possession. The Masons then took the matter up, and in the short time allowed them, made preparations for conducting the funeral in their own formula. Entries for the Auckland Cup and Grand Stand Handicap close on Friday night,
