Rangiora Wesleyan Chapel.— A meeting of the building committee of the new chapel was held on Fiiday to consider an overture from the committee of the horticultural show—viz, that the Rangiora flower show and opening tea meeting be held on the same day—the second Thursday in December. The following resolution was unanimously carried: —“ That the wish of the flower show committee be met, and that the date of of opening tea meeting be fixed for the same date.” It was also resolved that the president of the conference be invited to preach the opening sermon, and that the Rev A. R. Fitchett be invited to preach in continuation of the opening sermons. The chairman reported that through the agency of Mr Jennings an excellent American organ had been procured. A satisfactory report was presented respecting the progress made by the contractor for the building; and it was resolved that a second payment be made to him; also that active endeavors be made to collect unpaid subscriptions.
