Drunk and Disorderly. —Flora Martin, a very old offender, charged with drunkenness, was sentenced to twelve months’ imprisonment with hard labour. Job Horwell, arrested for being drunk, committing an act of exposure, and resisting the police, was tiued 20s. Neglected Children. —Elizabeth F. C. Dobbinson, Emma Dobbiuson, Louisa Dobbinson, and Samuel Dobbiuson, four little children, ranging from the ages of two to seven years, were brought up charged with being neglected children under the Act, Constable Strong deposed to the drunken habits of the children’s father. Mrs Dobbinson called, stated her husband was continually drinking, and seldom came home sober. The children were ill supplied with food through her husband’s drunkenness. His Worship ordered the two eldest children to be sent to the Industrial School for seven years, to be brought up in the teaching of the Church of England, the other children were discharged.
