There were very heavy gusts from the N.W. during the nijjht of the 17th. but, although the Coq du Village drove a short distance, there was not. the smallest casualty among the shipping. All yesterday the wind continued to blow in heavy squalls at intervals, but at 5 p.m. it shifted to the south-west. ARRIVED. October 9—Taupo, s.s, 461 tons, Macfarlane, from JJunedin.
