<► CHHISTCHUECH. Saturday, September 18. [Before H. £ Murray Aynesley, Esq, J.P.] Drunk and Disorderly.— Thomas Pardoe was . Charged with drunkenness. A second charge of being drunk and resisting the police after having been admitted to bail was also preferred against him. Fined £l. Win'. Nankarvis, for drunkenness, was fined 5s and cautioned. Drunk and Using Obscene Language. —Mary Cunningham, an old offender, arrested for being drunk and using obscene language in front of the Theatre, was fined 5s and cautioned. LYTTELTON. Thursday, September 16. [Before VV. Donald, Esq, R.M.J Civil. —Calo v Comerford, claim £8 10s ; £2 5s paid into court ; judgment amount paid into court, each party pay own costs. Friday, September 17. Drunkenness— William McEwan, arrested by Goustable Gilchrist, charged with the above, was fined ss. LEITH PIELd7~ Thursday, September 16. [Before M. Morris and J. S. Woodhouse, Bsqs ] Police Ordinance—J. O’Donnell, arrested by Sergeant Willis, was charged with indecency. , The witnesses failed to prove the case, which was dismissed The accused was charged with having been drunk, disorderly, and making use of obscene language. Pined 20s, or in default forty-eight hours’ imprisonment. The fine was not paid.
