POST-OFFICE NOTICES.
Mails close at Chief Post Office for the following places, as under, subject to necessary alterations:— Monday, September 20. For r Nelsou, Wellington, and the Australian colonies, per Omeo, at 11.25 a.m. Late letters, 11,45 a.m. Railway station, 12.25 noon train. For Port Chalmers and Dunedin, per Easby, at 11.25 a.m. Late letters, 11.45 a,m. Railway station, 12.25 noon. For Port Chalmers, Dunedin, per Bruce (should she arrive in time), at 11.25 a.m. Late letters, 11.45 a.m. Railway station, 12.25 noon. Supplementary Australian mails per Omeo will close at 7.30 p.m., and be dispatched overland to connect with steamer at Hokitika. The next English mail via Suez will close at Christchurch on or about the 27th in-t, and via San Francisco on or about the 26th inst. J, J. FITZGIBBON, Chief Postmaster.
