Djvoece Court.—A proclamation appears in the Gazette that three or more Judges of the Supreme Court will sit at the Supreme Courthouse, Wellington, on November 15th, to hear and determine petitions for the dissolution or for a sentence of nullity of marriage, &c.
H.A.C.B. Society. —The quarterly meeting of the above was held in the Catholic schoolroom on Thursday evening last. There was a good attendance, and a considerable •am was received as members’ contributions; In addition to the ordinary business the meeting took into consideration the best manner of celebrating the anniversary of the branch, which occurs this month.. After some discussion the meeting decided that the coming anniversary be celebrated by a ball, all the brothers approaching Holy Communion in a body on Sunday, 19th. Previous to closing the president announced that the next meeting of the branch would take place on Wednesday, 15th inst, owing to the school committee having decided to hold a concert in aid of the schools in the Hall, on Thursday, 16th, the ordinary night for meeting. Steps however would be taken to pie* yeat mob alteration in the future.
