MAGISTRATES COURTS.

CHISTCHURCH. Wednesday, August 25. [Before G. L. Mellish, Esq., E.M.] Drunk and Disorderly.—John Walsh, charged with being drunk at the railway station, was lined 5s and cab hire. John Foster for being drunk while in charge of a horse and dray was fined 10s. Daniel Dunkley and G. I. Kimber charged with drunkeness were each fined 6s. A Naughty Boy.—Albert Atherton Jones, a little boy four years old, was brought up by his mother, charged with being an unruly boy, entirely beyond her control. Mrs Jones stated that she was a widow with two children. The boy before the Court was very mischievous, destroying clothes in the house, and when sent on a message would spend the money given him in toys. He Avas quite beyond her control. Ordered to be sent to the Industrial School for seven years, to be brought up in the teaching of the Church of England.
