MUSIC HALL COMPANY.

The annual general meeting of the above company, was held yesterday afternoon, at the hall. Mr A. Garrick in the chair. After the minutes had been confirmed, the secretary read the following second annual report:— “ Christchurch Music Hall Company, Limited. The sum of £250 has been deposited with the society, bearing interest at the rate of 7 per cent; the total sum now on deposit being £4OO. “During the year it was found expedient, in the interests of the company, to make certain alterations in regard to the management of the hall, whereby the services of a paid agent were dispensed with, and the management entrusted to the treasurer. By this means the annual working expenses are considerably reduced, and the general result is found to be more satisfactory. “ The retiring directors on this occasion are—Messrs li. Davis and J. P. Jameson, who are eligible for re-election. — A. Garrick, Chairman.” “Christchurch, 18th August, 1875. On the motion of the chairman, seconded by Mr A. Ollivier, the report and treasurer’s statement were adopted. Mr E. Davis and Mr J. P. Jamieson were re-elected directors. On the motion of Mr D. Craig, a vote of thanks was unanimously passed to the directors for their services during the previous year. The meeting then adjourned.
