At a Meeting of the Amalgamated Society of Carpenters and Joiners of Chtistohurch Branch, it was resolved to ascertain the feeling of the trade in reference to the Saturday Half-Holiday. The committee appointed for the purpose deemed it advisable to canvas your votes for or against the movement. The terms proposed are that the time be sacrificed in order to establish the Half-Holiday. If such meets with your approval, many now who are enforced with idleness would gain employment. In a few days an opportunity will be afforded you of voting in favor of the movement.
