POST-OFFICE NOTICES.
Mails close at Chief Post Office for the following places, as under, subject to necessary alterations: — Thursday, August 5. For Dunedin, per Beautiful Star, 11.30 a.m. ; late letters, 11.50 a.m.; railway station, 12.25 noon. For Northern Ports, per Hawea, at 1.40 p.m.; late letters, 2 p.m.; railway station, 2.30 p.m. train. For Levuka, Fiji Islands, Wellington Napier, and Auckland, | per Star of the South, at 4.45 p.m. ; railway station, 5.30 p.m. train. The next outward Australian mails will he despatched on or about the 7th inst. J. J. FITZGIBBON, Chief Postmaster.
