July 28—Ladybird, s.s., 286 tons, Andrews, for Dunedin. Passengers, Mr and Mrs Reid and family (4), and Miss Monk. The barques Queensland, Adelphi, and Italy, and brig Emperor, coal laden, and all from Newcastle, arrived in harbour this morning. The two former barques and brig left Newcastle on July 13th, thus making the passage in fifteen days ; the Italy left on July 17th, making the passage in eleven days. The barque Especulador arrived in harbour this morning from Kaiapara, timber laden. The steamers Taupo from Dunedin, and Wellington from Dunedin via Oamaru, arrived in harbour this morning. Both steamers sail North this afternoon. The s.s. Ladybird, from North, arrived in harbour at noon. She sails for South tonight.
