Mails close at Chief Post Office for the following places, as under, subject to necessary alterations: — Wednesday, July 28. For Dunedin, per Ladybird, at 1135; late letters, 11.55 a.m. ; railway station, 12.25 train. For Northern Ports per Taupo, at 1.55 p.m. ; late letters 2.15 p.m. ; railway station, 2.30 train. Thursday, July 29. For Northern ports, per Wellington, at 1.55 p.m.; late letters, Chief Post Office, 2.15 p.m.; railway station, 2.30 train. The English mail, via San Francisco, will close at Christchurch on Saturday, July 31st, and arrive at London on or about September 20th. The English mail, via Suez and Brindisi, will close at Christchurch on Saturday, July 31st; and arrive at London, via Brindisi, on or about September 27th, and via Suez on or about October 4th. J. J.
