A barque named the the Conqueror, (500 tons, wan loading at New York, on May 13th for Auckland, and was to sail on or about 13th June. The barque Southern Cross, Captain Boon, took her departure for Hobart Town yesterday. A stranger to this port, named the p.s. Lyttelton arrived in harbor last evening at 6 p.m. from the Kaikoras with a cargo of wool and tallow for the •hip Kangitiki. The b.h. Maori left Port Chalmers at 11.15 a.m. on the 9th; arrived at Oamaru at 4.15 p.m., discharged a quantity of cargo and took iu 85U bags of grain and left at 2 p.m. on 10th, arriving here yesterday morning at 8 a.m. Experienced light variable winds and smooth water to arrival. The fore and aft schooner Tewara arrived in harbor yesterday from the Kaipara, with a cargo oi timber, consigned to Messrs Cutf and Graham. The ship Cicero was cleared at the Customs for Manilla on Saturday. The ship will take her departure shortly. The brig Alarm, for Newcastle, sailed yesterday, also the brigantine Esther, for Greymouth, produce laden. The brigantine Zephyr, Captain Connor, arrived In harbor on Saturday, at 8.30 a.m., from liokitika. She left Hokitika on July 2nd, experienced light easterly winds tip to the 4th, then fresh gale from the S.E., passed Cape Farewell on the 3th, theuce moderate westerly winds, passed Uape Campbell on the 6th, had a light gale from the S.W., arrived oh" Kaikoras on the Bth, then light southerly winds till arrival as above. The captain reports that he passed a barque and two schooners oil' Cape Campbell, not known. The barque Coq du Village, Captain Smith, arrived at the Heads last evening from Newcastle, N.S.W., with a cargo of coal. She left Newcastle game day as Island City, and no doubt like that vessel during the late gale had to run iu some port for shelter. The Coq du Village left Newcastle on June 19th, thus making a lengthy passage of twenty-two days. The Alarm brig that left same day has completed her discharging and sailed again for Newcastle. The Onward schooner arrived in harbour yesterday at 9 a.m. from Picton. She left that port on June 30th, experienced light S.W. wind*, anchored In Ships' Cove wind bound the same day; left again on July 3rd, experienced light S.E. winds; passed Cape Campbell on July 4th at 6 a.m., when the wind Increased into a gale; anchored under White Bluil at daylight on the sth; left again on Friday las i, thence light northerly winds to arrival. The barque Island City, Captain Brown, arrived In harbour on Saturday at 3 p.m. from Newcastle. She left on June;i9th, experienced light N.W. winds till the 26th; then calms and N.E. winds till mating Cape Farewell on the 29th; then strong gale from theS.W.; passed Cape Campbell on July Ist; anchored in Port Underwood wind bound; left last Tuesday, then light northerly winds to the JUikorM, tbcoo* boavy S.
