WONDERFUL DISCOVERY.

A wonderful discovery (says the Newcastle Pilot) was made in the Waratah tunnels, Lambton, a few days ago. Two miners, named Murdoch and Anderson, were engaged in undermining some coal, when Anderson found, at a depth of 69ft, and in a place without any outlet whatever, a frog of a most peculiar species. The creature was endowed with a pair of eyes of amazing and extraordinary size, but notwithstanding this, it was totally blind. Mr Anderson has the frog now preserved in spirits, and it is visited by many lovers of the marvellous, who find pleasure in inspecting its deformities, and hearing of the place where it was discovered. The place where Mr Anderson cut is three inches in length, and about the same height, and was a hole in the solid coal.
