CHRISTCHURCH. Monday, June 21. (Before W. D. Carruthers, Esq., J. P.) Drunk and Disorderly. —John Cameron, Robert Hill, and William Chapman, charged with drunkenness, were each fined 10s. Vagrancy. —Ellen Jordan, an old offender, and who had only lately been released from prison, was remanded for three days to recover from the effects of drink from which she was suffering. Drunk and Creating a Disturbance.— Thomas Wild was charged on remand with being drunk and creating a disturbance in a public thoroughfare. Mrs Wild stated to the Bench that the defendant was an excellent husband when he kept away from drink. The Bench administered a caution to Wild, and lined him 20s.
