CRICKET.
Below we give the batting averages of all cricketers who have represented Canterbury in at least three Interprovincial matches. It will be seen that Corfe heads the list with the splendid average of 23.3; but B'owler comes very close with an average of 21, and must be considered equal to his, as he has played in a greater number of matches. Cotterill and Ollivier, with 15.3 and 18.5 respectively, we place eqnal for the same reason. Cotterill has played more innings than any one else, and has a fine average. None of the rest have obtained an average of double figures. BATTING AVERAGES.
