The Atlantic, schooner, hauled alongside the Tunnel wharf yesterday morniDg, to discharge timber. The PakeLa trig sailed into the berth lately occupied by th" Uio Loge, brig, to discharge timber at the No i wharf. After discharging, the brig will load for Brisbane. The vessels at the breastwork were hauled off yesterday, us there were indications of another blow from the S.W. The schooner Unity is shortly expected from Pelorus Sound with a cargo of timber consigned to Mr C. Dunsford. The schooner Flying Cloud, timber laden, sailed from Picton on June Ist, for Lyttelton. On discharge of this cargo she will be laid on to load for Wanganui, by Messrs P. Cunningham and Co. The schooner Esther is shortly expected from . Pelorus Sound; after discharging she will load produce for Greymouth. The barque Union, for Newcastle, sailed yesterday. The brigs Rio Loge, and Emperor, the former with produce for Auckland, and the latter in ballast for Newcastle, sailed yesterday. Captain Bruce, late of the Magellan Cloud, is now appointed master of the Pakeha brig. He has doue well in his last vessel and we sincerely hope that he may meet with good luck in his new undertaking. The Mystery, barque, will come alongside the Bcrewpile jetty as soon as the Iris leaves the berth. The s.s Gazelle and the s.s Mullough went down the harbor yesterday, with the intention of shifting the ship Cicero to a berth at the Gladstone pier. There was a very moderate S.W. breeze blowing, but they were utterly incapable of moving her, proving the urgent necessity that exists for a steam tug of some power. The s.s Tararua, Captain Clark, cleared Port Philip Heads at 10 p.m. on the 29th May, passed the Swan at 7.30 p.m. 30th May, experienced fine weather, with light variable winds, throughout the passage; sighted the land at daylight on the 3rd instant, passed the Solander at 10.30 a.m., and arrived at the Bluff at 6 p.m. the same day, discharged cargo the following morning, and sailed for Fort Chalmers at 4 p.m.; encountered very heavy gale S.W. same night, and hove to for some hours; arrived at Port Chalmers at 12.30 p.m., and sailed again for this port, after discharging 150 tons cargo, at 12 a.m.;Sunday, 6th instant, arriving in Lytteltou at 7 a.m. yesterday, Passed the s.s Albion at 10 p.m. on Sunday night. She brought 100 tons cargo for this port. We have to thank Mr R. Jones, the purser, for files and report.
