Shippers—Wilson, King, and Co, Saunders and Henderson, Koyse, Stead, and Co. The barque James Hannell arrived at Port Chalmers on Tuesday, 25th, and will be docked there nd receive thorough repairs. The report that the Lizzie Guy had anchored at the Heads was not true, and as yet there is no sign Of her arrival. We see by the Otago ‘’Guardian ” that the Luna Dunedin direct for Wellington, on Tuesday ast, with his Excellency the Governor and suite on board. The brig Pakeha, Captain Cleverley, arrived in harbor on Thursday night at 8 p.m., and anchored off the Breakwater. She took her departure from the Bluff on the 2lst at noon, and had fine southerly winds till she passed Otago Heads on the 22nd. The wind then veered to N. and N.E., but was not strong, and the weather was fine. This continued till off Timaru on Tuesday, when it again went round and blew from the SW. Godley Heads was made the same night, but owing to the strong S.W. blowing down, had to anchor outside till Thursday, when she ran up as above. The s.s Taranaki, Captain Lloyd, arrived in harbor yesterday at 10 a.m. from Dunedin. The purser reports that they left that port at 4.30 p.m. on Thursday, experienced light S.W. winds, arriving as above. She sails for North to-day at i p.m. During her stay in Dunedin she has been in dock, and thoroughly cleaned and re-palnted. Her smart passage from Port Chalmers here, only 17 hours and a half, shows |how much she has benefited by her overhaul. We have to thank Mr Edmeston for flies, reports, etc. Messrs M’Meckan and Blackwood’s and Go’s s.s Otago arrived in harbor yesterday at 12.30 p.m. from Melbourne via Bluff and Dunedin. The purser reports that the Otago left Saudridge Railway Pier at 3 p.m. on the 20th with 450 tons cargo for all ports, experienced winds from N.W. to N.E, with moderate weather and heavy rain, which continued till arriving at the Bluff at 3.30 p.m. on the 25th ; left again at 5 p.m. on the 26th, experienced heavy weather from the S.W, arriving at Port Chalmers at 7.30 a.m. on the 27th, left again at 6 30 p.m. the same day; left the pilot at the heads at 7.15 pm, experienced fine weather till arriving as above. She •alls for Melbourne via North at 4 p.m. to-day. We have to thank the purser for our exchanges and report.
