The schooner Spray cleared the Customs yesterday for Hokitika with produce. She was to sail during last night. The schooner Alert sailed for Hokitika with produce yesterday. , The following passengers arrived by the barque Queen of the Seas yesterday:—Mr and Mrs Joseph Dawson, Mr and Mrs ltaynor and larnily (4), Mr, Mrs, and Master Lindsay, Masters Mitchell (4), Messrs J. Bacon, D. Connoly, Geo. Marshall, Thos. Marshall, Delaney, B. Palliser, J. and E. Chapman, J, Mitchell, and Whittaker. . The s.s. Bruce, Captain Jones, arrived in harbour yesterday at 9.30 a.m., from Dunedin via intermediate ports. The purser reports that they left Port Chalmers May 19 at 1 p.m., arrived at Timaru at 4 a.m. 20th inst, discharged 120 tons cargo, and received 58 bales wool and skins; left Timaru 7.30 p.m. arrived at Akaroa 3.30 a.m. 21st; left 5.30 a.m, arriving as above. She sails to-day at 4 p.m. The Bhip Warwick has on board 11,397 sacks wheat, 209 bales wool, 10 casks seed, 3 casks hides. The above cargo has been taken in whilst alongside the Gladstone Pier. The ship will complete her loading in the stream. The brigantine Magellan Cloud was berthed yesterday alongside the Gladstone Pier to discharge her cargo. Sho proceeds to Auckland to be fitted up as a whaler after she completes. The Onward finished the last of her cargo of timber yesterday. The brigantine Augusta, which arrived on 'lhurs day night, is bound for Oamaru. She is from Wellington, and ran in Lyttelton for shelter. The barque Queen of the Seas, arrived on Thursday evening. She is commanded by Captain ltobinson, late of the Freetrader, who is well known In this port. He reports that the vessel left Hobart Town on Saturday, May Bth, with light noi therly winds, which prevailed during the greater portion oi the passage. On Sunday lact experienced a heavy gale, and arrived at the Bluff' on the 18th, landed 30 steerage passengers, who are going to be employed in the construction of the Southland Hallways, and one saloon passenger. Left Bluff same day, and arrived here after a good run of 36 hours. She brought a number of passengers and a full cargo for this port.
