“Mother,” said little Ned, one morning, after haying fallen out of bed, “1 guess I know why I fell out of bed last night.” “Well, what was it?” ‘fit is because I always sleep so near to where I get in,” said he, and then after musing a moment, as if still in doubt whether he had really solved the problem or not, he added —“ No, that isn’t the reason either, I guess.” “Well, what do you think?” asked his mother. ‘ ‘ It was because I slept too near where I fell out. That’s it.” .
