The Lady Jocelyn cleared last night. She has a full cargo, but is light, as a great deal of it is loose wool. Her passenger list is a very full one. She does not sail till Saturday next. Her cargo is valued at about £55,000, exclusive of the bullion.
In consequence of the late strong southerly gales the s.s. Wellington has been considerably detained on her passage down from Auckland, and will not leave this port lor Dunedin until 1 p.m. to-morrow (Saturday), the agents having received a telegram to the effect that she cannot leave Welliugton until 4 p.m. this afternoon. She brings six boxes of bullion that the Lady Jocelyn is to take. It is shipped by the Bank of New Zealand. The s.s. Maori, Captain Malcolm, arrived in harbor yesterday at noon from Dunedin via Timaru and Akaroa. The purser reports tiiat he left Port Chalmers on Tuesday, May 4th, at 7 p.m.; arrived at Timaru at daylight on Wednesday; discharged 80 tons of cargo, and left at 8 p.m., arriving at Akaroa at 5 am. yesterday; discharged 10 tons of cargo, and left at 1 a,m. Experienced fine weather, and arrived as above.
