Mails close at Chief Post Office for the following places, as under, subject to necessary alterations: — Friday, May 7. For Otago, per s.s. Maori, at noon. For Otago, per Wellington, at 2.30 p.m, Saturday, May 8. For London via Suez and Brindisi, per Albion, at 2.10. Late letters at Chief Post Office up to 2.40 p.m., and railway station 5.5 p.m. For India, China, Japan, Penang, Singapore, Austrian, French and Britisli post offices at Alexandria, Malta, Gibraltar, Brindisi, France, &c, per Albion, at 2.10 p.m. For Australian colonies and Otago per Albion at 2.10 p.m. Late letters at Chief Post Office up to 2.40 p.m., at railway station 3.5 p.m. For issue of money orders, posting registered letters and newspapers per Albion, 1 p.m. For United Kingdom, via San Francisco, per Taranaki, at 9 p.m. For the Continent of Europe, via San Francisco, Sandwich Islands, North, South, and Central America, per Taranaki, at 8,30 p.m. For issue of money orders, posting registered letters, per Taranaki, 5 p.m. SUNDAY, MAY 9. Supplementary mails for the United Kingdom and Northern Provinces, per Taranaki, at 8.30 a.m. Late letters at railway station box, 9.25 a.m. J. J. FITZGIBBON, Chief Postmaster.
