She sails for that port in a day or two. The ketch Emerald, Whitby master, cleared the Customs yesterday morning for Westport. She will sail first lair wind.

The s.s rheebe, Captain Worsp, arrived in harbor yesterday at 11.30 a.m, from Dunedin. The. purser reports that they left Fort Chalmers at 3.30 p.m, on the 28th instant; experienced strong head wind and heavy N.E. sea, She brought 6 cases salmon ova and 90 tons of cargo, and sailed again at (> p.m. The s.s. Phoebe, while in Port Chalmers this time was fitted with a new four-bladed screw, cast by Messrs Kinvaird and McQueen, of Dunedin. It is the largest propeller ever constructed in the colony, and its efficacy is shown by her doing the trip in twenty hours in spite of the strong head wind. She discharged ninety and took on board 100 tons of cargo for North.
