PORT OF LYTTELTON. ARRIVED. April 28—Columbia, schooner, 64 tons, Conway, from Napier, in ballast. The ketch Jane Elkin, Captain Leslie, from Pelorus Sound, timber laden, anchored in Little Port Cooper at 6 p.m. on Tuesday evening. She is bound for Kaiapoi. YESTERDAY'S SHIPPING. April 27—9 a.m.: wind, N.E., light: weather rainy. Barometer, 30.24; thermometer, CO. High water —morning, 8.54; afternoon, 9.20. CLEARED. April 27—Ashburton, barque, 506 tons, Young, for Melbourne. Per Ashburton—lß3s sacks barley, 2808 do oats. Shippers—Cunningham and Co. We are informed by Captain Wood that a three-masted schooner passed the Heads on Saturday afternoon from the southward. She passed on towards north, and is supposed to be the Estelle, from the Bluff and bound tor Auckland. Captain Andrews informs us that the schooner Jessie was loading for this port when the Flying Cloud left. . The barque Ashburton cleared the Customs yesterday for Melbourne. She sails lor that port the first opportunity. The ketch Emerald is loading produce for the Bullcr River. She will sail in a day or two. All the work was stopped on the wharves from 11 a.m. yesterday on account of the weather. The topsail schooner Flying Cloud, Captain Andrews, arrived in harbor yesterday at 10.30 a.m., from Pelorus Sound. The captain reports that he left the Sound on Tuesday, April 20th, with strong W.E. winds; passed Cape Campbell on Wednesday, April 2lst, at 2 a.m.; arrived off the Kaikouras on Friday at 11 a.m.; experienced strong southerly winds, which lasted until April 26th; from that date light N.E, winds; entered Godley Heads at 10 a.m., and arrived as above. The schooner J. G. Coleson, Captain Rae, arrived in harbor yesterday at 8 a.m., from Pelorus Sound, The captain reports that he left the Sound on 'ihursday, April 22nd, ran through the straits with afreshN.W. breeze; passed Cape Campbell at 10 p.m. the same day, and arrived otf the Kaikouras at 6 a.m. on Friday; from thence strong S. winds, which lasted until noon on April 26th, from that date light N.E. winds; made the Heads at 6 a.m. yesterday, and arrived as above. She brings a full cargo of timber consigned to J. Booth. ARRIVAL OF THE WARWICK. The fine ship Warwick, Captain Skinner, arrived in harbor and anchored off the Lady Jocelyn at 3 a m yesterday morning. It is now two years since this vessel was last here, and it will be remembered that she belongs to Messrs Tamperly, Carter, and Dark, of London, and is an iron ship of 1005 tons, is ten years old, and AAI at Lloyd’s. She has been chartered for some time by Messrs Shaw, Saville, and Co. The outward passage to Auckland, with immigrants, was accomplished in ninety-six days from dock to harbor, and, alter discharging a load of railway iron, was taken to Napier for the Government. The Warwick sailed from Napier for this port on the 20th at 8 p.m,, with a light N.W. wind. On Thursday, the 22nd, at midnight, when off Cape Palliser, the wind suddenly increased to a strong gale, during which the three upper topsails, jib, and fora topmast staysail were blown out of the bolt ropes. The wind moderatedon Friday atnoon, the ship being then off Amuri Bluff. A fresh set of sails was bent, but the wind fell to a calm, which last d till Sunday night, when there were light nor.herly airs. On Monday a breeze from the uorih sprang up, and the Heads were made at noon on Monday, but the breeze fell very light, and it was 2 a.m. yesterday morning before she got inside the Heads; was boarded by the pilot, and came to anchor as above. The vessel will be berthed at the Gladstone Bier to load grain for home.
