After some discussion between Dr Foster and his Worship, the latter said that he must differ with the doctor, and decide that the members of the Fire Brigade were only expected to serve as constables on certain specified occasions, and that he (the magistrate) had no power or jurisdiction which would enable him to relieve the members of the Fire Police from their obligations to serve as jurors.
