Dunedin— Messrs Wright, Stephenson, and Co report lor the week ending 10th April as follows: Fat Cattle—lso head were yarded, being quite equal to the demand. We sold 43 head. Bullocks brought from £8 12s 6d to £l4 10s, cows from £7 12b 6d to £8 10s ; or equal to 27s per lOOlbs for good quality, and 23s for middling ditto. Fat Calves— Only a few were yarded, which sold at from 25s to 45s each. Fat Sheep—A large supply of 1600 came forward. We sold 350 half-breds, at from 13s 3d to 19g 6d; 300 merino ewes, at 5s 6d to 7s; 115 merino wethers at 9s. We quote prime half-bred, 3d to 3id per lb; do merino, 2-2 d. Fat Lambs—lßo were penned, which we sold at from 6s to os. Store Cattle.—We have enquiries for well-grown cattle, but have no transactions to report. Store Sheep— There is still a good demand for young merinos and 4-tooth half-breds. We quote half-breds, 4-tooth, 12s to 12s 6d; do, 2 -tooth, 10s to lls : do lambs, 8s : merino wethers, 4 and 6-tooth, 7s 6d; do, lull mouthed, 5s 6d to 6s; do, ewes, 2,4, and C-tooth, 8s 6d: do, full-mouthed, 3s to 4s 6d. At above rates, we sold 1700 merinos and cross-brcds. We also sold 75 Leicester rams, at from £2 2s to £5. Annual Sale of Pure Stock—We held this sale on Monday. sth Inst. There was a fair amount of stock yarded, but very few purchasers. We sold 100 Leicester ewes, at from 22s 6d to 425; 150 threequarter bred do, at 22s 6d; 40 ewe lambs, 16s ; 910 cross- breds, at 10s 3d: rams, at from 30s to £4. We also sold 25 Leicester ewes, fullmouthed, at £3; and 160 cross-breds, at 16s. Horses —At our yards on Saturday a large number of horses were offered, of which a fair proportion changed hands. We quote first-class draughts, £6O to £80; medium do, £4O to £SO; light do, £25 to £35; good hacks and light harness horses, £25 to £35; medium do, £l4 to £2O; light and inferior, £3 to £7. Wool—Cable telegram received by the Albion reports as follows: —“ London, March 26th —The wool sales closed firmly. 206,000 bales in all were catalogued, and 112,000 were bought on foreign account. The opening decline on prices was recovered. and ordinarily good Australian brought equal to November rates, while superior kinds brought equal to May early rates. Half-bred realised good prices. The manufacturing trade is inanimate. 1 * At our usual weekly sale on Wednesday we disposed of several lots, chiefly stragglers’ wool, at satisfactory prices. Sheepskins-Our weekly sale was well attended by buyers, and prices obtained were fully equal to last week’s rates. We offered and sold a considerable quantity, chiefly station skins, as follows:—Merinos. 4s 0d to 6s 9d each, and 7Jd to lod per lb; pelts, from 6d to Is lid each. Hides—Therels a good demand for well conditioned lots, which command full prices. We quote present market values at from 4d to 4sd per lb. At our weekly sale we sold several lots medium weights at from 18s to 20s od. Grain—Very little business In wheat; prices nominal. Oats are in fair enquiry. We quote good feed, 3s 8d to 2s 9d; milling samples, 3s9ato 3s for very prime. Barley—Good malting samples saleable at from 5s to 5s 6d per bushel; inferior, 4s to 4s 6d,
