TO JAMES O'BRIEN, ESQ., OP ARMAGH STREET, IN THE CITY OF CHRISTCHURCH— WE, the undersigned, ratepayers in the City of Christchurch, in the Colony of New Zealand, hereby request that you will allow yourself to be put in nomination for the vacant seat in the Christchurch City Council, lately occupied by Mr S. C. Farr. If you accede to our request, we hereby undertake to support your election to the office of Councillor, and to do all in our power to forward your return as a member of the Christchurch City Council.
