AUSTRALIAN PROFESSIONALS IN ENGLAND.
Barry Sullivan has taken one more farewell of Cork, and been presented with a silver vase by his admirers there. Josephine Fildcs has been ailing for some time past, but is now recovering, and expresses _ a hope of being able to resume her professional duties at an early date. Miss Akhurst played the title character in her father’s burlesque of “Cinderella” at the Pavilion Theatre last night. Mr and Mrs James Carden are playin “ Clancarty,” under the management of Mr Richard Younge. Mr Walter Bentley has made a favourable impression at the Court Theatre. Mr John Hall has removed to the Holborn, where he is of course a great favourite. Carrie Nelson is playing at the Charing Cross, her brother Alfred being the stage manager. John Morris, “ the Protean,” has taken to the music halls, and is literally coining money. Julia Mathews is announced to play at the Alhambra, and Miss Dolores Drummond continues a successful career at the Standard Theatre,
