DISTRICT PRIZE FIRING.
The firing for the district prizes by the City Guards took place on Thursday morning at the Heathcote range under the supervision of Lieutenant-Colonel Packe. The shooting was not up to the average, but this may in a measure be accounted for by the slanting rays of the sun, which was found to lessen the probability of making a good score. The following are the scores:— First Set.
