"iHE following extract from the Regulafor the Registration of Life Policies is published for general information : 1. Every policy-holder, who is such in respecu o" granted or entered into in New ZejUdnd by a Company who shall have made a deposit o" securities under the Life Assurance Companies Act, 1 873 ; nay, i" the policy 0)' contract has been made before the commencement of the said Act, register such policy with the Public Trustee within twelve mouths pf *er the commencement of the said Aot, be* \j not after; and if made pfuer the commencement of the said Act, then within si:: months after the making thereof. (N.B.—The Ist of November, 1873, is fixed as the commencement of the Act.) 2. The person intending to register a policy shall either deliver the same to the Public Trustee at his office in Wellington, or may deliver the same to an agent; and every such person shall make application Lo register such policy in a form which can be obtained at any Post Office in the colony at which Money Orders are issued. 3. The Public Trustee shall make and keep a book for the registration of policies, in which the particulars of each policy shall be recorded. 4. There shall be paid to the Public Trustee by the policy-holder a fee of five shillings on the registration thereof. 5. Each policy shall bear a registration number according to the order in which it has been received, and when registered the Public Trustee shall make and sign a memorandum thereon in the form or to the effectfollowing : No. Registered in pursuance of the Life Assurance Companies Act, 1873, this day of 18 .
