ANOTHER ADDITION TO THE COLONIES.
An extension of our colonial empire in South Africa has taken place. A summary of news from Cape Town to the sth of November states that Sir H. Barklyhas annexed Griqualand East, Adam Koks Territory, to the British territories. The frontiers of the Cape Colony and Natal are thus joined. This is expected to be the beginning of a union of Natal with the Cape Colony, with a new representation in the Cape Parliament. Adam Kok is for the future to be a British pensioner on a salary of £IOOO per annum. Mr Orphen, a resident, magistrate, is the ostensible governor for the present. The despatch adds thairtne .Griquas are alleged to be not BWft delighted at the annexation.
